Location: Morristown West High School   Morristown, TN

Entry Fee:  $100.00 per school; please make check payable to Morristown West Track & Field Boosters     $20.00 Per Individual

Entry Limitations: Each team may enter a maximum of 3 athletes per event.  Tennessee rules limit athletes to a maximum of four events.*  Please be as accurate as possible so that we can run full heats in each event.  

We are allowing two relays per school with only the A relay scoring.

Entry Deadline: Thursday, April 18, 2024 @ 5pm

Coaches we will need assistance in the events so we are assigning 2-3 schools per event.

Long Jump:   Morristown East

Triple Jump:  South Greene

HIgh Jump:  West

Shot Put:  Seymour/Lakeway

Discus:  West/Grainger

Pole Vault:  West/West Greene

4 x 100 relay zone:  Grainger Z1, South Greene Z2,  West Greene Z3

4 x 200 relay zone:  Morristown East Z1 & Z3,  West Z2

Break Line:  West

Bathrooms:  All spectators and athletes will use the restrooms located at the Track near the concession stand.

Awards:  Top three finishers will receive awards in each event.  Top scoring team, runner up, and third place in girls and boys overall team score will receive plaques.

Admission:  $6.00 with gofan.co  or $5.00 CASH PAYMENT FOR ENTRY.   Entry will be beside the cafeteria closest to Lincoln Avenue, there will be signs, and at the far end of the campus between the auditorium and baseball field.  Although, parking will be at a premium due to a choir event.



Concessions Stand:  There will be a concession stand available for fans and athletes, cash is accepted.

Hospitality:  Comp food for all coaches.

Parking - Park Buses at Lincoln Middle School (It is located 1/4 of a mile due East on Lincoln Avenue which is adjacent to Morristown West High School) and Parents parking will be in the lot at front of school nearest the cafeteria and Morristown Senior Center across the street, (THERE WILL BE SIGNS) there will also be a small parking lot behind the softball field on Walnut that will be open as well..  Entry will be at the cafeteria side closest to Lincoln Avenue. 

Parking near the auditorium and baseball field are reserved for a Choir Musical Review event schedule in the auditorium, please do not park there, as there will be a host of individuals needing closer parking for that event.

  • Shot and discus: 4 throws, no finals 

  • Shot put minimum measurement - Boys - 35-0, Girls 25-0

  • Discus minimum measurement - Boys - 90-0, Girls - 60-0

  • Starting heights: PV - Boys: 7-0, Girls: 6-0  HJ - Boys: 5-0, Girls: 4-0 (starting heights may be adjusted depending on entries) Competitors may place two location marks on the competition surface, and no more.

  • Long and triple jumps: 4 jumps, no finals

    Competitors cannot run back on the runways to get marks, but may walk back.

  • Long jump minimum measurement - Boys - 15-0, Girls - 12-0 (minimum measurement may be adjusted depending on entries)

  • Triple jump minimum measurement - Boys - 30-0, Girls - 24-0 (minimum measurement may be adjusted depending on entries)

  • Only approved shot puts and discus are to be in the throw area.  

  • NFHS rules: an individual can enter a maximum of 4 events total. 

  • Only 1/4 inch spikes can be worn and inspected by the clerk. 

  • Coaches meeting at 4:30PM, No team tents on the infield only athletes warming up for their event should be there.  Stands are for spectators only, all teams need to setup in the grassy area on the hill or behind the bleachers.

  • Eight lane track, rubberized surface, two LJ/TJ pits, HJ apron inside track, separate PV runway.

  • Throwing events adjacent to one another.

  • FAT timing

 4x800 Relay (Girls then Boys)  Will start at 5:15.

All other Running events will start at 5:45.

There will be a check in window at the concession area make sure you athletes watch the track during events, and they should not be out there unless their event has been called.  We will have a rolling schedule with three calls for each event, unless otherwise stated.    Have your athletes at the track early to ensure they are ready for their event.
