Coaches will not be asked to cover events this year!
Welcome to the Third Annual Gainesville Cardinal Classic
When: Saturday, April 20, 2024 @ 9:00AM
Where: Gainesville High School, 13150 University Boulevard, Gainesville, VA 20155
Who: 25 teams (per gender) sanctioned to surrounding states. The first 25 teams to email meet director Adam Daniels, danielaw@pwcs.edu and commit will be given the password for entry.
Entries: Limit to 4 per event per team. Each team will be allowed 5 additional entries per gender, to add an additional entry to any events. So if you want to enter 5 in the 400, 6 in the 800 and 6 in the 1600, you can.
Entry Fee: $150/gender, $250/team, Make checks payable to Gainesville High School Track
Scratches: Scratches and substitutions must be made by April 18 @ 8:00pm to be seeded correctly. Scratches/substitutions made after will not be reflected in correct seeding. Please make all changes prior to the start of the meet.
Events: Field Events will be 4 attempts, no finals. High jump and pole vault will run five alive. Lowest seeded flight will go first.
Minimum Marks/Opening Heights - athletes will get one legal mark in LJ, TJ, SP and DT. Other marks must make the following minimums to be measured:
- LJ - 14'/18', TJ - 28'/36', SP - 27'/35', DT - 70'/90'
- HJ - 4'6"/5'6", PV - 7-0/9-0
Running Events 9:00am - Rolling schedule, girls first, heats will be run fast to slow.
