4th ANNUAL JIM TATE RELAYS

SITE: EE DELANEY STADIUM, ST. PAUL'S EPISCOPAL SCHOOL, 161 DOGWOOD LANE, MOBILE, AL 36608
ENTRY FEE: $400 per school ($200 per gender). Or $15 per athlete ENTERED plus $15 for each relay whichever is less.   Each team will receive 5 food tickets for coaches.  Payments mailed but not received must be confirmed with a school purchase order for your team(s) to compete.

coaches meeting at 8:30am at the finish line. 

RULES: The rules of the AHSAA and National Federation will be followed.
SCORING: ALL SAME GENDER RELAYS ARE WORTH 20 POINTS (20- 16-12-10-8-6-4-2)  (except for throwers relay which is only worth 5 points). Note that the individual events are not relay style as they were for many years and will be scored like a traditional meet where 8 places will be scored (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1).   Only 3 athletes from a team may score in an individual event.  THE CO-ED 4X400M IS WORTH 20 POINTS BUT SPLIT BETWEEN THE GENDERS, SO FOR EXAMPLE, THE WINNING TEAM WILL BE AWARDED 10 POINTS FOR THE BOYS TEAM AND GIRLS TEAM.  
AWARDS: Trophies will be given to the championship and runner-up team in both girls and boys divisions. 
SCRATCHES & SUBSTITUTIONS:  Requests for late additions or inadvertent omissions will be referred to the timer/scorer. Sections and flights WILL NOT be rearranged to accommodate late additions or coach's omissions.
EVENT OFFICIALS: St. Paul's will provide certified meet officials at all field events. 
CONCESSIONS: Full concessions will be available at the track.
PARTICIPATION LIMITATIONS:
By AHSAA rules, each participant is limited to a maximum of four (4) events. Schools may enter one relay team per relay track event.
SPECIAL MEET RULES.
1.Three (3) competitors per event, running and field.  
2.  Three jumps in the Triple jump and long jump with no finals.
3.  Three throws for the shot put, discus, and javelin with no finals and will be competed in the 2 and then 1 format to expedite the competition.
4. Shot puts and discus will be provided for both boys and girls. No shots other than the ones marked and approved by St Pauls will be used. For javelin, the event official is responsible for monitoring event implements.  Scales will be available. 
5.  T-shirts will be awarded to the first place individual in each event and to each member of the winning relay team, however, only one t-shirt per athlete. 
6. The first attempt in the throws and jumps will be measured but later attempts must meet the minimum standards to be measured.  See above for minimums.
