Meet Information
Meet Information: The purpose of this meet is to give all of your Varsity athletes an
opportunity to compete before Spring Break. This meet will be capped
at 12 teams with 4 entries per school in all individual events with the exception of 3 entries in the 1600m & 3200m (NO pole vault, NO Discus). Each school will
be allowed to enter a max of 2 teams in the 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m and 1 in the 4x800m
relays. This year, we're adding the Thrower's 4x100m Relay!
Entry Fee: $175 per school. Please make payment out to Langston Hughes High
School Track and Field Attn: Roland Colvin Langston Hughes High School 7510 Hall Rd. Fairburn, GA 30213.
ENTRIES PER EVENT: Each school is allowed 4 entries for
all track and field events, 3 entries in the 1600m and 3200m, 2 entries for the 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m relays, and 1 entry for the 4x800m relay.
ENTRY DEADLINE: Sunday, March 24, 2024. There will be no
meet day entry changes!!!
Timing/Results: SMART Timing
AWARDS: No team or individual awards
FACILITY: 8 lane all-weather track surface with 2 Long/Triple Jump runways and pits. The Shot
Put and Discus circles are brushed concrete.
WARM-UP AREA: The warm-up area will be on the fields behind the visitors stand. Warm-ups will be allowed on the track or infield in designated areas.
Field Events: Each contestant will be allowed 3 attempts in the Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put and Discus. All legal first attempts will be measured. Throws and Jumps will not be measured after the first attempt if the performance is not beyond the minimum measurement mark.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: There will be a $5 admission fee. Concessions and restroom facilities will be available as well.
