Meet Information
Monday May 15th - Location: Amherst County H.S. Pole Vault Comp. Starts at 5:15.
Tuesday May 16th - Location: LHS, All Field Events(minus Pole Vault) and 4x800 Relay. Starts at 5:15.
Wednesday May 15- Location: LHS, All Running Events. Starts at 5:15.
Eligibility: Each school may enter up to three (3) athletes per individual event and 1 relay team. To enter more than 3 entries in an event, ALL entries must meet the District Standard. Entries: Entries will be made using MileStat with Benjamin Wiese in charge of entries.
Entries are due no later than Sunday May 14th, by 11:00pm. Meet information is posted on MileStat.Any corrections, near qualifiers or scratches must be emailed before 9am on Monday, May 15th, 2023 to Benjamin Wiese bwiese@bedford.k12.va.us At this time entries will be final and no additions will be made. Please send completed VHSL District Verification Forms, Scratches only can be made at the coaches meeting.Coaches will turn in a Sportsmanship Form and an Equipment Certification Form at the coaches meeting. The forms are part of this packet. They will also be available at the coaches meeting.
Each school will need to provide workers for the meet. The assignments are listed below.
Liberty- FAT Timing/ Clerking/ Awards/ 4x400 relay exchange zone/ 4x800 exchange zone
Heritage- Boys/girls Discus(4 throws, No Finals)
Amherst - Boys and Girls PV
LCA/Rustburg- Boys Long Jump/Triple Jump (4 jumps, No Finals)
Glass- Boys and Girls Shot (4 throws, No Finals)
Brookville/ JF- Girls long jump/ Triple (4 jumps, No Finals)
4x100 relay- zone 1: Rustburg, zone 2: Amherst, zone 3: Glass
Starting Heights:Girls HJ: 4-2 Girls PV: 6-0Boys HJ: 5-2 Boys PV: 7-0*The starting heights will be adjusted if needed based upon the field of entries into the meetCheck-in: Check-in will be set up near the start line for the 55m dash. Athletes must check in to gettheir hip number by the second call. They must then be at the check-in area at the third call to be led to the start line. Field events are to check in at the event.Team Personnel: All team personnel, managers, scorekeepers, etc. must enter with the team.
