Date: October 22, 2022

Location: Marana High School 12000 W Emigh Rd, Tucson, AZ 85743
Course: 5k course with a mixture of grass, pavement, and desert surfaces. Very spectator-friendly with a 300-meter finish on our track. 
Registration and Entries: $300 boys and girls or $200 for a single team.

Each school will be allowed seven individual varsity entries per boys team and seven individual varsity entries per girls team. Teams may enter unlimited runners in the open race.

Race Assignments: Team are assigned to a Blue or Gold color race based on their Arizona ranking on athletic.net. This is calculated by fastest total team time. Meet Management will balance the races by staggering the teams. Roughly speaking, teams ranked 1-3-5-7, etc. will be entered in one color and teams ranked 2-4-6-8 etc. will be entered into the other color. It is possible that a school could have a boys team and a girls team entered into a different color races. Meet Management will post race assignments within 24 hours after registration closes to allow teams to make last minute adjustments on their bus departure times.
Team Parking: All teams will park on the Marana High School Campus. Please look at the Eye of the Tiger Event maps to locate the parking locations.
Terrain: A two-loop course with pavement, grass, track, and desert surface.
Packet Pickup: Coaches will pick up team packets when they enter the Marana High School Campus. You will find race bibs, a trash bag, team camp instructions, race schedule and a course map.
Athletic Trainer: We will have athletic trainers on site. Please provide taping supplies. Athletes need to bring water for warm ups and post-race.

Determining Team Scores: Only the first five-member of each team shall determine the overall team score. The sixth and seventh place finishers from a team do not score points for a team but may be used in the event of a tie from team scoring. If fewer than five competitors of a team finish the race, the places of all members of the team shall be disregarded in team scoring.
Awards: Trophies for first, second, and third-place teams in Varsity Races and first and second in the open races. The top 20 athletes in each race will receive a medal. We will have an awards ceremony starting around 11:15 am. 
Appeals: All appeals must be processed through the Meet Referee. No appeals will be processed on judgment calls made by a meet official. The Meet Referee will be the final authority on rule infractions.
Timing: Official timing by Roadrunner Race Timing. Split mats at the 1, 2 and 3 mile mark.
