In addition, it will feature high school races at 1600m, 100H/110H, and 2,000m steeplechase. There will also be a national Elite High School Mile which will feature athletes from outside 500 miles from the Kansas border for the first time. Due to state association rules, the Elite High School Mile is open to all high school athletes in the U.S. outside of Kansas, and the 1600m, 100H/110H, and 2,000m steeplechase are open to all athletes in Kansas and from within 500 miles of the Kansas state border (typically all of Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and portions of Illinois, Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming, and South Dakota).
The Kansas City Qualifier provides a rare opportunity of high school athletes to participate in the same meet with top pros as well as showcase their talents in front of a national audience on a free, high-quality live stream!
