The 2017 Dunbar Middle Girl's Track & Field went undefeated (Lynchburg, VA). Despite 2 rainouts, a few school records were broken. No one came close to defeating the girls. The boy's team lost once, but set a few records that had stood for years.

R.A, a 6th grader ran 5:30 & 2:36 in the 1600 & 800 respectively. He was defeated once by a city 8th grader. He is ranked in the top 50 in the state 1600 & 3rd in the state for 6th graders.
