2017 DERBY MIDDLE SCHOOL INVITATIONAL

MEET LOCATION: the Assumption HS track facility, the "Assumption Green", is located at 4500 Champions Trace Ln, at the corner of Champions Track and Newburg Rd just south of the I-264. Please contact Coach Barry Haworth for directions if you need them.
ENTRIES: coaches may enter a standard team ($60) that allows up to 3 competitors per individual event and 1 relay team in each relay event, or an expanded team ($100) that allows up to 6 competitors per individual event and 2 relay teams per relay event. Note that boys and girls are separate teams. Each athlete may compete in up to 3 individual events, not including relays.
This meet is open to both club teams and school-based teams. Club teams we do not allow super-relays. All relay members must be from the same school.
ENTRY FEES:
$60 for one standard Boys team (allows up to 3 individuals per event + 1 relay per event)
$100 for one expanded Boys team (allows up to 6 individuals per event + 2 relays per event)
or $10 per competitor, $20 per relay
$60 for one standard Girls team (allows 3 individuals + 1 relay per event)
$100 for one expanded Girls team (allows up to 6 individuals per event + 2 relays per event)
or $10 per competitor, $20 per relay
In order to accommodate as many different teams as possible, we are restricting each school to entering no more than 6 individuals per event.
ENTRY DEADLINE: Entries will close at 11:59pm on Wednesday, March 22.
We cannot accept any entries or (late) adds after this deadline. No exceptions.
Each teams final entry fees will be determined by their entries as of midnight, March 23.
ENTRY SUBMISSION: all entries will be submitted through Milesplit.
** The entry portal at Milesplit will open on February 1 at 9:00am.
** Questions regarding how to use the Milesplit entry system should be brought to the Kentucky Milesplit webmaster, Chris Hawboldt (email provided at the website), who can direct your question to the appropriate individual.
** The Milesplit entry system will allow coaches to enter up to 6 individuals in each event and up to 2 relay teams, but note that teams entering more than 3 competitors or 1 relay team in an event will be charged for those extra entries (i.e. charged $100 for an expanded team, or $60 for a standard team plus $10 per extra individual/$20 per extra relay team).

Entry fee checks can be dropped off at the meet upon arrival.
Please note that no team will be issued a coaches packet with competitor numbers until their entry fees are paid, or until payment is verified.

AWARDS
Individual awards will be given to the top 8 finishers in each event, regardless of section, with one exception. The ONLY exception will be the following:
** 1600 meter run: only the top 8 finishers in the final (fast) section will receive awards. Athletes in slower sections of the 1600m will not be eligible for awards.
Team awards: there are no team awards. We have opted instead to focus on providing better individual awards.
ADMISSION: there will be a $5 admission fee at the gate for all spectators and nonparticipants, students and seniors are $3, and children 12 years old and younger are free.
CONCESSIONS: concessions will be sold at the meet by the Assumption HS track team. They would appreciate your patronage.
