Frede Spellman Audio Interview Feb 12, 2007

Audio interview by Brandon Miles with Oscar Smith junior Frede Spellman. Spellman recently joined a small group of past Virginian throwers in the 60+ foot club with a US top 5 throw of 61'2.50" mark at the St. Christopher's Invitational and improved upon that mark at the Southeastern District Meet with a personal best throw of 61'11.50".

Southeastern District Meet Preview Feb 07, 2007

Western Branch and Deep Creek appear to both have the top two teams in the Southeastern District for both the boys and girls. The Western Branch boys have two talented sophomores in Kevin Newsome and Kelvin Griffin, while the Deep Creek boys with new coaches have fielded another contending squad. The Deep Creek girls return several key members from last June's outdoor state team co-champions, but will give a strong test from the start at the district level from a balanced Western Branch squad.
