Meet Information

On Saturday, November 2, 2013 the second annual Montgomery County Private Schools Cross Country Championships will be held at Sandy Spring Friends School in Sandy Spring, MD. All private schools in the county are invited to compete. The meet will serve as the countys Private school championships. The following guidelines will apply:

1. Junior Varsity races will have unlimited entries; Varsity races will be limited to 9 runners per team.
2. In order to compete in the JV race, a school must field a varsity team of at least 5 athletes.
3. The top 7 racers from each team will count toward scoring, with the top 5 of them being added for the teams final score in both the varsity and junior varsity team races.

The format of the meet will proceed as follows:

1:15 PM Coaches Meeting

2:30 PM Girls Varsity (max. 9 entries)
- Medals to top 15 finishers (All-County)
- Trophies to team champion and team runner-up

3:15 PM Boys Varsity (max. 9 entries)
- Medals to top 15 finishers (All-County)
- Trophies to team champion and team runner-up

3:50 PM Girls Junior Varsity (Unlimited entries)
- Plaques to team champion and team runner-up

4:35 PM Boys Junior Varsity (Unlimited entries)
- Plaques to team champion and team runner-up

5:15 PM Awards Ceremony (Location TBA))

In order to participate in the championships, you will need to have registered for the meet on athletic.net or emailed Mike Stubbs by Monday, October 21. Athlete registration must be done on http://www.athletic.net by 10:00 PM on Wednesday, October 23.

The entry fee for the meet will be $75.00 for single-sex schools and $100.00 for co-ed schools. Checks should be made out to The Landon School School, with a notation that the check is for the MoCo XC county championships.
