Box Elder Relay Invitational
State Qualifying Meet

We are looking forward to a great 2013 Box Elder Relay Meet. We have a new high jump pit purchased in 2010. Our shot put ring has sand in it. We also have a secondary shot put ring for individuals to warm up. We are looking forward to hosting this meet again this year.

Start Times: Saturday March 16, 2013 @ 9:30 AM
Coaches Meeting 9:00 am at the purple building
Field events will start at 9:30 am
Running Events will start at 9:30 am

Place: Box Elder High School Track
380 S. 600 E. Brigham City, Utah

Awards: Medals for top finishing relay team only. Trophy for the winning boys and girls team.

Cost: $75 per team
$150 for school
$5 per relay entry this includes extra relays.
$5 per individual entry

We will be limiting the number of teams in the meet to 12 so please sign up early. Please call or e-mail us to let us know you are coming to the meet. Put Box Elder in the subject line. You will know you have been accepted when we respond to you.

All field relays will consist of 4 members and the best mark of each thrower/jumper will be added together to determine the winning relay team. All field events will be counted as qualifying events for state. If you only have three throwers or jumpers then you cannot score in that event.
The following relays marked with a (#) symbol will be ran as individual events with the marks added together to determine the winning relay team. A relay team consists of 4 people. Which means events where we add up individual marks there need to be four marks for a team to qualify in this event as a relay team. If you only have three competing in the event then they can still receive an individual mark but they will not count toward scoring. This allows them to still be counted as qualifying events for state along with the 4 x 100, medley, and 4 x 400 relay which will be ran as normal with no changes.

4 x 100m
1600m Medley (200, 200, 400, 800)
Distance Medley (800, 400, 1200, 1600)
Lunch Break of 15-30 minutes (This may be shorter depending how fast the track meet is moving along and what the weather is like.)
4 x 400m
4 x 800m
800m Sprint Medley (100, 100, 200, 400)
4 x 200m
#4 x 300m Hurdles

Open 100 (This will not be counted toward an individuals 4 event limitation. We are asking teams limit the number of competitors in this event to at most 3 individuals. This is non-scoring event.)
Saturday 9:30 am start time for field events
Javelin (Girls followed by boys.)
Long Jump (Girls followed by boys.)
High Jump (Boys followed by girl.)
Shot Put (Open Pit.)
Discus (Boys followed by girls.)
Triple Jump (This will follow the completion of the long jump.)
