Thursday - January 19, 2006
Training: AM: off
PM: off
Day Mileage: 0
WEEK Mileage accumulated: 32

Training Details: Fritz had a day off for Sunday, but we decided today would be better since my legs are so flat. Took the day to recover and ate lots of good food. Some people who take a day off sometimes think they should eat less because "I didn't run today…" But your metabolism doesn't come to a screeching halt just from one day off, but it is still fully pumpin' from months of running!!!

Friday - January 20, 2006
Training: AM: 30 mins
PM: 20 mins with strides.
Day Mileage: about 6
WEEK Mileage accumulated: about 38
Where: Steffisburg
WEATHER: stupid fog! Not terribly cold though.

Training Details: Race tomorrow in Lausanne so took it easy.

Saturday - January 21, 2006
Training: AM: travel to course
PM: race, 6k..3 times a loop
Day Mileage: 9 miles
WEEK Mileage accumulated: about 47 miles
Where: Lausanne, Switzerland
WEATHER: WARM AND SUNNY FOR ONCE

Training Details: The course was awesome besides the SIX times we had to make sharp turns. To get around, you would have to pretty much stop, turn, and then gun it again, so that was challenging. Then these Euros like putting huge logs in the middle of the course. There were 6 and we had to do the same round 3 times…you do the math…Yeah, and I am NO steepler!

Race Details: Heavy legs from mileage, but this mileage will pay off later… This race put me in a good position for Worlds, I think. I basically just have to run really well next weekend (Feb. 5th) at the Cinque Mullini cross country meet. It is a pretty big meet and I am very excited! Especially because my Thuner Trio will be with me!!! YAY.

Livia did not feel too well either, but we both know that our hard work is going to pay off when it really counts!!!
