Austin Mudd, Center Grove, rocketed to a 4:03.00, 1:49.25 double for 1600 meters and 800 meters!
- Some quotes from Austin: "The 1600 went out really fast, we hit 2:02 at the 800 and then 3:04 at the 1200 and I was still sitting comfortably in second so I knew I would be able to hang on until that last 200 to really kick it in. I ended up in the slow heat for the 800 but it really wasn't a big deal because I knew in order to get that state record I would have to take it out fast no matter what. I went through the 200 in about :25 and then the 400 in :52 but I was really focused on hitting the 600, I came through at about 1:21 which was perfect and I knew that if I could just kick it in hard I would have the record".
