The state record boards were busy this week. Sophia Castaneda ran 52.17 at the Summit Invitational in Oregon - a new state record and US#4 on the season in the 400m. She is heading to Michigan in the fall. Kendrick Joshua wrote his name into Georgia history in the 300m hurdles, running under the previous state record by 0.07 seconds with a time of 35.60, moving inside the national top 15 all-time. Eva Armstead set the Alabama state record in the 400m at 53.31.
In New Hampshire, Caden Green threw the discus 207-4 - a new state record and a mark that sits in the national top five. Isabella Kartsonis of Cuthbertson cleared 13-4 in the pole vault - NC#3 all-time and a four-inch improvement on her own freshman state record.
