Championship season is underway, and the 2025 RunningLane Championships will once again bring together top high school talent from across the country. Known for its depth and fast performances, the meet has become a key fixture on the national calendar. On May 23-24, athletes will have the opportunity to line up against top competition and deliver their best performances of the season.
Below are some of the top seeds in each elite section:
Girls 3200m - Rowan Saacke, 10:05
Saacke, representing Bridgeland, enters with a season best of 10:05. She has made significant progress since 2024, improving on her previous best of 10:43.09.
Boys 3200m - Kaden Evans, 8:44
Evans, an Oklahoma State commit, ranks second in Utah's Class 6A in the event this season.
Girls Mile - Gabbie Bishop, 4:45
Bishop comes off a dominant showing at the Arizona 3A State Championships, where she won the 400m, 800m, 1600m, and 3200m.
Boys Mile - Corbin Coombs, 4:01
Coombs, committed to Wake Forest, enters with a 4:01 mark and will look to challenge the sub-4 barrier.
Girls 800m - Mia Perez, 2:07
Perez, a University of Texas signee, is the top-ranked senior in the San Antonio area in the 800m.
Boys 800m - Austin Plewe, 1:49 (altitude adjusted)
Plewe holds the fastest 800m time among juniors in Utah this season.
Girls 400m - Aria Pearce, 54.00
Pearce is currently the top-ranked sophomore in Kansas in the 100m, 200m, and 400m.
Boys 400m - Isaac Battles, 48.00
Battles has dropped over two seconds from his 2024 best of 50.79, now entering with a 48.57.
Freshman, Cooper Lutkenhaus, took the Boys' 800m win last year in 1:49.12
