3. Joshua-Kai Smith, Gar-Field (Va.)
Joshua-Kai Smith has been electrifying on the track this season, delivering standout performances in both the 55m hurdles and 55m dash. At the Ocean Breeze Invitational, Smith unleashed a massive personal best in the 55m hurdles, clocking a time of 7.08-a 0.15-second improvement on his previous PR. His time ranks as the No. 1 mark in the nation this season, leading the field by an impressive 0.19 seconds. Smith's 7.08 also ties him for No. 12 all-time in the indoor 55m hurdles, placing him among an elite group of just 13 athletes in history to break 7.10.
In addition to his dominance in the hurdles, Smith has been a force in the 55m dash. He ranks No. 6 nationally this season with a time of 6.34 and remains undefeated in the event, winning all three of his races (two finals and one prelim).
With his combination of speed and precision, Smith is proving to be one of the top all-around sprinters and hurdlers in the country this season. As he continues to build on his remarkable performances, Smith is cementing his place among the nation's elite.
4. Cole Boone, Pulaski County (Va.)
Cole Boone has been on fire this season, making waves as one of the top middle-distance runners in the nation. At the Liberty Christmas High School Invitational, Boone lit up the track with an electrifying 2:23.68 in the 1000m, earning him the #1 national ranking in the event. His performance left no doubt about his dominance in the middle-distance scene. He didn't stop there. At the MSTCA Boston Holiday Challenge, Boone doubled down on his incredible form. He ran a blazing 4:06.92 in the 1600m, claiming the #2 spot nationally. Not content with just one standout performance, he also clocked an impressive 4:08.40 in the mile, securing another #2 national ranking.
With his unmatched versatility and fearless racing, Boone has made this season one to remember, proving he's a force to be reckoned with on the track.
13. Ja'Neil Harris, T.W. Andrews (N.C.)
Ja'Neil Harris has sprinted his way into the national spotlight this season, delivering jaw-dropping performances in both the 55m dash and 300m.
At the Liberty Christmas High School Invitational, Harris showcased his explosive speed in the 55m dash, clocking a blazing 6.31 to rank as the number three sprinter in the nation. The race was one for the books, with four boys breaking 6.40, all ranking among the top 11 nationally this season. Harris emerged victorious, cementing his status as one of the best short sprinters in the country.
Harris didn't stop there. In the 300m, he turned in a jaw-dropping performance, crossing the line in 33.36, the number two time nationally this season. His mark stands a significant 0.24 seconds ahead of the number three runner and is one of just two times under 33.60 this year. To top it off, his time also ranks 24th all-time for the indoor 300m, a testament to his incredible talent and work ethic.
With his speed and consistency, Harris has proven he's a force to be reckoned with, making this season one to remember.
15. Aiden Bryant, Midlakes (N.Y.)
Aiden Bryant has proven himself to be one of the most versatile and dominant athletes in the nation this season, competing across five events: the 55m dash, 300m dash, high jump, long jump, and triple jump.
While his range is impressive, Bryant truly shines in the jumps. At the Jack Reed High School Showcase, he soared to a nation-leading mark of 24' 10.75" in the long jump, outdistancing the number two jumper, Cordial Vann, by an impressive 4.75 inches.
Bryant also owns the top spot in the triple jump, leaping 49' 6.25" to become one of only two boys to surpass 49 feet this season. His combined long and triple jump total of 74' 5" leads the country by more than two and a half feet, cementing his dominance in the field events.
With his unmatched athleticism and consistency, Bryant has established himself as a standout performer and one of the most exciting talents to watch this season.
18. Justin Stewart, Arlington Heights (Tex.)
Justin Stewart has made his mark as one of the nation's top sprinters this season with standout performances in both the 60m and 200m.
At the Texas High School Indoor Championships, Stewart clocked a personal best of 6.73 in the 60m, earning him the number six national ranking and a third-place finish in a highly competitive field. His performance shaved 0.01 seconds off his previous best, showcasing his continued improvement in the short sprints.
Stewart truly stole the spotlight in the 200m, where he made history as the first boy this season to break the 21-second barrier. His winning time of 20.94 not only secured the top spot nationally but also ranks as the 17th-fastest indoor 200m ever recorded. This performance solidified Stewart's reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the longer sprints.
