Who are the top senior girls to watch out for?
Emily Wisniewski leads off her class with a time of 16:27.20, which she set in October at the Rose City Championship Invitational. The incoming fourth-year athlete at Crescent Valley clocked the third fastest time this season and was the 14th fastest among high school girls of all time.
Wisniewski won an Oregon state championship last fall, placed first in the NXR Northwest Regionals and was third at Nike Cross Nationals. She was also named Gatorade's Player of the Year in Oregon.
Rounding out the top three times among incoming seniors are Abby Faith Cheeseman and Sadie Engelhardt. Cheeseman ran a time of 16:27.60 over 5,000 meters, while Engelhardt -- a history making prep athlete over the track season -- ran a time of 16:39.30.
