This past weekend, some of the world's best athletes competed at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Many of those same stars will be back at Hayward Field this week for the USATF U20 Championships.

Some will compete in Eugene later this month at the U.S. Olympic Trials, too.

Below, we look at five true freshmen women from the U.S. who fared well at NCAAs. This list includes American women who were part of the high school Class of 2023.



Karrie Baloga, Cornwall (NY)

Baloga, one of the top distance recruits in the Class of 2023, ran for the University of Colorado during the cross country season last fall.
