Simeon Birnbaum, Rocky Hansen and Connor Burns round out the top three combined athletes of all-time in the 1,600m and 3,200m races, with all of their personal records set in the 2023 season at both meets.
Birnbaum just finished his freshman year at the University of Oregon, but last season is where he broke records. Running for Rapid City Stevens High School in South Dakota, Birnbaum won state titles for both the 1,600m and 3,200m races.
In June 2023, he ran an en route 3:56 for 1,600m at the HOKA Festival of Miles and then clocked a time of 8:31 in the 3,200m at the Brooks PR Invitational, winning first place in both.
Hansen and Burns follow in second and third best combined times, but they are neck-and-neck with just a four second difference in their combined times.
