The boys of Humble Atascocita High School opted against fielding a fast 4x100 at the Texas A&M Bluebonnet Invitational at the beginning of the month.
Five days later, though, they decided it was the right time.
The Texas state contender in Class 6A clocked a winning time of 40.56 seconds at the Generation Park Track and Field Invitational on Thursday in Houston, following up their U.S. No. 1 effort of 40.37 from Feb. 24.
