With the outdoor season opening its doors in February and March, the 4x100m will come into focus.
But what goes into a successful 400 meter relay?
There is a lot, in fact.
A combination of good mechanics, clean handoffs, speed and discipline all need to mesh perfectly to consistently compete week-after-week.
Also, it's pretty obvious you need four talented sprinters to do their part.
Heading into the outdoor season, it seems that American Heritage (FL) has four of the top returners in the 100m, meaning even without having run a 4x100m yet this season, big things are possible.
Led by sophomore Zamarii Sanders in 10.27, Brandon Bennett(10.43), Braden Parris (10.50) and Braylen Bennett (10.50), the Florida squad might be the team to beat in 2024.
