Hudson Allain started his season on a high note.

A month ago, the Brentwood (TN) senior debuted his season in the 60mH and the 200m at the Galleria Games. However, his bread and butter is in the quarter-mile.

In his first indoor 400m of the season, the Nike Outdoor and Indoor National All-American set a lifetime best on the 300m flat track at Vanderbilt at the KYA HS Indoor Classic.

From the start, the Harvard signee took control of the race and no one was able to challenge him. He came posied and in control down the homestretch and crossed the finish line in 47.17.

This is the fastest time of the year so far in 2024.

Allain and Keayari Thompson of Westlake (GA) are the only two boys this year so far who have dipped under the 48-second barrier in the 400m. Thompson clocked 47.72 to win the Galleria Games.

As a junior in 2023, Allain opened up his indoor season with a 49.59 400m time and was able to drop his time consistently every time he touched the track. At Nike Indoor Nationals he ran the fastest time of his career with a 48.22 to finish sixth overall, which was ranked No. 31 in the country.

During the outdoor season in 2023, he won the TSSAA Outdoor Track and Field title in the 400m with a lifetime best of 47.19. He also finished sixth at Nike Outdoor Nationals this summer with a 47.95.
