It was a weekend full of incredible highs for high school cross country runners in the U.S.

In Kansas, NAU commit Clay Shively put down the fastest 5K performance ever recorded for an athlete from the state, clocking a winning time of 14:42.60 at the Olathe Twilight Invitational. In the process, he held off Missouri's Andrew Hauser, who currently owns the fastest 5K performance ever performed by a Missouri athlete.

In California, Jason Parra inched closer (again) to the sub-14 line for 3-miles, while Payton Godsey set a top 5 mark nationally for the distance.

Athletes secured elite times at the Liberty Bell Invitational, while Cameron Todd opened his season in Indiana and a flurry of Texans continued their ascents up the rankings in the Lone Star State.
