* Loudon Valley (VA) orchestrated an epic comeback in the boys Championship of America DMR at the 2016 Penn Relays Carnival.

Seven years ago, a Drew Hunter-led Loudon Valley (VA) boys DMR squad delivered one of the best performances in Penn Relays history.

At the 2016 installment of the historic Penn Relays Carnival, the boys Championship of America DMR race developed into one of the most jaw-dropping competitions, complete with a comeback finish.

On the 1,600m anchor leg for Loudon Valley, Hunter battled back to erase an 80-meter deficit on the final lap to surge ahead for the win over La Salle Academy (RI).

Just thousandths of a second separated Loudon Valley from La Salle. Both relay teams clocked times of 10:00.01, but it was Loudon Valley that go to hoist up the iconic Penn Relays winner's wheel.

Don't forget -- we're less than two months away from the 2023 Penn Relays Carnival, presented by Toyota, and the event's entirety will be streamed live on FloTrack. For more meet information, visit the meet page or our FAQ page.
