Sometimes, state championship finishes just hit different.
That was certainly the case on Sunday, as Westfield (VA) senior Jayson Bell went toe-to-toe with Gar-Field junior Tyrel Robinson in the final moments in this epic 300 meter duel.
In the end?
It was Bell, who edged Robinson by just over a tenth to post the win in 34.58 seconds.
Robinson followed in 34.72 seconds. Antonio Smith, a junior from Western Branch, was third in 34.85 seconds.
