In his indoor debut at 800 meters, Hagerty (FL) senior Miguel Pantojas didn't mess around.

At the RADD Sunshine Showcase on Saturday, the University of Florida signee dominated the high school 800m field, stringing out early to win in a commanding time of 1:50.58.

That puts Pantojas at US No. 1 in the event and gives him a substantial lifetime best in the indoor 800m.

He's also now the first high schooler this season to dip under 1:51 in the event, surpassing Milwaukee Speed Academy Andrew Regnier's previous nation-leading time of 1:51.56.

Pantojas returns to the indoor track as one of the top half-milers in the country. He finished third at New Balance Nationals Outdoor during the outdoor season and clocked the 13th-best 800m performance in the country last spring of 1:49.90.

Action at the RADD Sunshine Showcase will continue through the weekend, with more competition to come on Saturday and Sunday. You can follow along on the MileSplit live stream.
