2022 was the year for sub-4, and Archbishop Wood senior Gary Martin led the way in that pursuit of breaking barriers.
The now-University of Virginia talent closed out his final outdoor high school track season with two mile performances under four minutes, including his first sub-4 run of 3:57.98 at the Philadelphia Catholic League Outdoor Championships in May.
