Last year, Natalie Cook of Flower Mound (TX) ran one of the fastest 5K times in history at the RunningLane Cross Country Championships where she ran a 16:03.93. A week later, she won the Eastbay Cross Country Championship title in 17:15.

She came from the Eastbay south region.

This year, this season looks loaded with talent.

Athletes like Reagan Riley, Sailor Eastman, Isabel Conde De Frankenberg, McKenzie Bailey, and Ciara O'Shea broke 17:10 for 5K and return for another season. Along with these athletes, there are other athletes who are paving the way in this region.
