With cross country season almost underway in full force, we examine which athletes lead the way in their respective regions.

Beginning in the Northeast, the region boasts some of the top returning boys cross country talent in the country.

At the top of the rankings comes Coe Brown Academy (NH) senior Aidan Cox, who returns with the fourth fastest time among returners in the entire country with his 14:18.43 performance from the RunningLane Cross Country Championships in 2021.

But the Northeast region also features two of the nation's top junior boys -- Jimmy Wischusen of Union Cathlic (NJ) and Byron Grevious from Phillips Exeter Academy (NH). Both come in at second and third on the Northeast rankings list with personal bests of 14:33.94 and 14:41.94 from last year, respectively.
