With the cross country season just a few weeks away,  let's head on over to some historical data. 

This week, we're going to dive into the progression of classes heading into the fall, starting first with incoming senior boys and girls.

Here, we've compiled three-year data from the Class of 2023's boys to examine just how much each athlete has improved over their lifetime as prep athletes. We only pulled the top result from each of the last three years. 

When we rank and file the top 20 returning boys in 2022, you can see just how incredible the development has been. Eighteen out of the 20 athletes in the data set have all chopped off over 60 seconds from their freshman performances. 

Furthermore, the top two athletes, Newbury Park's Leo and Lex Young, have both improved by over 90 seconds in three seasons. The entire top 20 of this list have produced 5K tim...
