The RunningLane Track Championships Are Back in 2022

Over the last few years, history has made its way to Huntsville, Alabama.

And that shouldn't change in 2022.

On Monday, the team behind the Garmin RunningLane Cross Country Championships announced a new date and a new venue for the second annual RunningLane Track Championships

A year ago, the meet played host to a new 14-year-old World age group record from Sadie Engelhardt, it introduced us to little-known Will Sumner and it featured a number of national-level times and state-best performances.

Registration is now open for the meet

The distance carnival-style meet included fire-shooters along the home stretch, a DJ and uptempo music to run with.

This time around, athletes and teams can get ready for slight changes in the schedule: The RL Track Championships have moved from June to the weekend of May 27-28.

The event also will move closer to the city center, shifting from James Clemens High School in Madison to Milton Frank Stadium in Huntsville.

The new venue will feature seating for over 10,000 people.

MileSplit will be on-site in Huntsville providing all the coverage and will be featuring stories, videos and more on the road to the championships in 2022.

Check back for more information in the coming weeks.
