When we've explored analysis with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the past, we have often highlighted the North Carolina A&T men and women.
The Aggies' story, after all, is fairly incredible given how much they have evolved into a national power over the last few years. Right now, the North Carolina A&T men are ranked No. 2 in the nation according to the USTFCCCA's rating index.
However, there's another HBCU track and field program that boasts a star Olympian as their head track and field coach. And right now, Howard University's David Oliver is on the verge of creating something special, too.
Oliver joined the Howard Bison as their Director of Track and Field back in 2017. He's a 2008 Olympic bronze-medalist in the 400m hurdles and had a lengthy professional career where he secured numerous world-caliber accolades.
