Which boys athletes lead the country in combined time in the 800m and 1,600m?

We set off to find the answer to that question.

The leader so far? Scottsboro (AL) High School senior Rex Green, a runner-up in the 800m and a sixth-place finisher in the 1,600m at the AHSAA State Indoor Championship meet a a year ago, is currently one of just two boys under the 6:20 threshold. But there's plenty of season left, so things could change dramatically over the next few months.
