* Cady McPhail won the Music City Track Carnival in the 800m

Not only will the sophomore have the home state advantage, but she's one of the top contenders in the 800m.
McPhail won her first set of AHSAA Class 6A outdoor state titles this spring in the 800m and 1600m and also claimed a bronze medal in the 3,200m.
At the Music City Track Carnival, she became the fastest girl in the state when she ran a new personal best of 2:09.91 to win that meet. This was her first sub 2:10 performance of her career.
She goes into this meet with a huge target on her back, as she has the fastest time going into this championships.
