Hannah Miniutti Earns Georgia Class 5A 1,600m Title

Hannah Miniutti captured her first Georgia state 1,600m title  on Thursday at the GHSA Class 5A Championships in Carrollton, as the Blessed Trinity senior and Colorado recruit turned it on in the final 400 meters to outpace Hannah Schemmel en route to a winning time of 4:53.67.

The win was Miniutti's second championship since 2019 and it followed her first Georgia state title in the 3,200m as a sophomore. It's her third state title overall across cross country and track and field. 

St. Pius X's Schemmel was second in 4:56.42, while her teammate Mary Brady was third in 4:58.77.
