To call Ashlyn Giles' senior indoor season a success would be an understatement.
Not only has the Schuylkill Vally (PA) shot put thrower improved the most year-over-year compared to any other athlete in the nation, but this weekend she also added an incredible first: She won a national title at adidas Indoor Nationals.
Giles has transformed in a year across the shot put, improving a total of seven feet, eight inches. Her personal best of 49 feet, 7 inches is now US No. 1 and it is one of two marks over 49 feet on the year.
Giles highlights a list of the country's top 200 girls who have improved the most over the last year within indoor track and field.
