Chris Hilton, one of the country's top high jumpers, cleared 6-10 last indoor season to be ranked sixth in the nation last year at the LSU HS Qualifier.
He then placed sixth at the LHSAA Indoor State Championships in the high jump.
The scary thing is, the Zachary (LA) senior also has some speed in him.
He finished second at the LHSAA Indoor State Championships in the 400m with a time of 49.97 seconds, which was a new personal best for him. This may be a strong reason why he will be running a leg on the 4x400 for his team.
The LSU football and track and field signee will compete in the high jump at 11:30 am. Hilton will be on the track for the 4x200m at 11: 15 am and at 5:15 pm for the 4x400m.
