Hough ran three sub-15 minute 5Ks and won 87-percent of his races this year.
As a senior he won a state championship, and in doing so he ran the second-fastest time on the Michigan state course all-time when he clocked a 14:49.62.
At the state championships, Hough cut just over just over 47 seconds on the Michigan International Speedway course from his junior season.
In his first major national championship race, he placed 11th at the XC Town USA Meet of Champions. This equaled a 190 speed rating. With his efforts this year, he finished as MileSplit50's No. 18 runner. His highest speed rating of the season was a 196.
