Three time defending NXN National Champion Fayetteville Manlius, NY moves into the top spot after a record-setting performance winning the Eastern States Championships at the Manhattan Invitational. Great Oak, CA enters the girls fab-15 rankings after dominating the Clovis Invitational. Henry Jackson, WA maintains the top position after packing six varsity runners at 13:22 for 2.5 miles without three varsity scorers in league action. Central Catholic, OR enters the boys fab-15 rankings after placing six varsity scorers under 16:11 for 5000 meters in the past two weeks. US#1 Henry Jackson, WA and US#15 Central Catholic, OR collide in the upcoming Puma Classic.

Competed in 2.5 mile league meet where the team ran in tennis shoes and still produced a 1 second 1-6. More amazingly with 3 of the top nine resting still packed 6 runners all at 13:22! Heading to Puma Classic to face US#15 Central Catholic which has produced 6 runners under 16:11 them selves. Should be a showdown of two of the top teams perhaps in the nation.

Destroys the competition in Eastern States Championship @ Manhattan Invitational with a meet record 14:35 team average over the 2.5 mile course. Places all five varsity scorers in the top 10 as F-M makes a national statement.

2. Saugus, CA (1)

Dominates US#4 Arcadia and previously ranked US#9 St. John Bosco at the Clovis Invitational with a 15:46 5K average; has won every major invitational this season.

Travels to NY to run in McQuaid Invitational winning with a #2 all-time 17:36 3-mile average. Places all five scorers in the top 9 and 7 in the top 15.

3. Christian Bros Acad., NJ (NR)

3. Shadle Park, WA (3)

Wins the Eastern States Championship @ Manhattan Invitational over US#4 Haddonfield and unranked Fayetteville Manlius with a 13:01.9 team average over the famed 2.5 mile course 

 

 

Scores 18 team points in GSL League Meet with an impressive 1.5 second 1-3 spread. Team competes in a tempo run and has vowed to “let’er rip” at GSL Championships. Has early season 15:04 2.5 mile avg under belt.

 

4. Arcadia, CA (5)

4. Torrey Pines, CA (4)

Runs a close second to US#2 Royal at the Clovis Invitational with an impressive 15:49 5k team average; defeats previously ranked US#9 St. John Bosco in the process.

 

 

For the second week in a row Torrey Pines dominates a national super meet in defining fashion with the Stanford Inv. overall team title. It looks like our pre-season dark horse is meeting pre-season expectations and then some.

 

5. Fayetteville Manlius, NY (NR)

Places second in Eastern States Championship @ Manhattan to US#3 Christian Brothers Academy by 10 points, but renders an impressive 13:03.22 average over the 2.5 mile course.

Dominates US#7 Glacier Peak in 7 on 7 Sunfair flights and in overall team scoring. Backs up impressive Nike Pre-Nationals victory with an impressive meet tying 13 points!

 

6. Boerne Champion, TX (6)

6. Saratoga Springs, NY (6)

Wins the Nike South Invitational under inclement conditions with a 29 second 1-5 spread and a 0.7 second 3-5 spread

 

 

Finishes second to US#1 Fayetteville Manlius with 80 team points, a 40 second 1-5 spread and a 15:04 team average in Eastern States Championship @ Manhattan Invitational.

7. Haddonfield, NJ (4)

7. Classical Academy, CO (11)

Places 3rd in the Eastern States Championship @ Manhattan to US#3 Christian Brothers Academy and US#5 Fayetteville Manlius with a 13:03.19 average over the 2.5 mile course; team average was superior to US#5 F-M’s. 

Wins Saucony / TCA Titan Thunder Invitational over US#10 Fort Collins 49-50 with all five varsity scorers in the top 15 places.

Runs the fastest 3-mile average in Utah history when they won the Nebo Inv. Averaging 15:24 (15:51 5k pace) over a legit 3.01 mile course the Cavemen are tightening the 1-5 gap; led by soon-to-be national phenom Austin West's school record 14:56.27 victory.

Places second to US#6 Saratoga Springs, NY at Great American XC Festival with an 18:43 team average behind the Stevens sisters’ fast sub 18 minute 5K’s.

 

 

 

9. Cedar Park, TX (2)

9. Magnificat, OH (9)

Rests the varsity at the Nike South Invitational as only two varsity scorers competed.

 

Dominates Midwest Meet of Champions with 34 team points and 18:39 avg.; then competes @ Medina XC Festival with 5 in the top 7 and 19 team points.

10. Albuquerque Acad., NM (13)

10. Fort Collins, CO (NR)

Wins Metro Championships with 37 team points. Continues undefeated season with impressive team efforts and climbs back into top 10. 

 

Finishes second to US#7 Classical Academy at Saucony / TCA Titan Thunder Invitational 49-50. Places all five scorers in the top 16 with a 48 second spread.

11. Queensbury, NY (13)

Wins the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational with 24 points and a 16:01 5K average. Placing 6 in the top 15 and top three overall finishers who went 15:46, 15:49, 15:51, 16:03, and 16:38.

Places third to US#1 F-M and US#6 Toga in Eastern States Championship @ Manhattan Inv.; defeats US#13 Monroe-Woodbury and Shenendehowa in team scoring and team average.

12. York, IL (11)

Wins Peoria Invitational with 37 points and a 15:08 team average and a 38 second 1-5 spread over the fast Detweiler course.

 

Finishes 4th in Eastern States Championship @ Manhattan Inv. To US#1 FM, US#6 Toga, and US#11 Queensbury with a 15:29 average.

 

13. Trabuco Hills, CA (12)

13. Glacier Peak, WA (7)

Rose to the occasion at the Stanford Inv. With a runner-up showing, defeating Ferris, WA in the process with a 16:06 5K average.

Places second to a top 5 team for the second week in a row losing to US#5 Jesuit, OR @ Sunfair.

 

14. Germantown Friends, PA (14)

14. College Park, TX (14)

Placed 4th in Eastern States Championship @ Manhattan behind US#3 Christian Bros Acad., US#5 Fayetteville Manlius and US#7 Haddonfield. Third time in as many weeks team finishes narrowly behind Haddonfield.

 

Does not run complete varsity @ Nike South Invitational; Won the Midwest Super meet Rim Rock Farms XC Classic defeating Iowa City West, IA who had previously defeated US#11 Dowling Catholic, IA. Scoring 54 points to Iowa City West, IA 83 points.

Over the past two weeks this team has produced 6 competitors under 16:11 for 5000 meters. Prepared to face US#1 Henry Jackson at home meet, Puma Classic, is a definite bubble team to watch.

 

Destroys the field at the Clovis Invitational with 71 points and 18:38 team average for 5000 meters. A 93:11 total team time ranks as #20 all-time over the Woodward Park course.
