It has been a challenge to assess the Class of 2021 after athletes lost most of the last year of competition.

Still, MileSplit wanted to compare this recruiting class with the high school resumes of 2019 DI NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship All-Americans in order to get a sense of the potential at the next level. 

To do this, we compiled the high school PRs of every finalist in every event from the 2019 championships, with a focus on the NCAA athletes who competed through the U.S. high school system for an equal comparison.

From there, we averaged the high school personal bests for each event and used that as the standard for the class of 2021. Follow the links below to view the event-by-event breakdown to see which 59 boys have comparable performances to the 2019 NCAA qualifiers as well as which 2021 recruits are on the bubble.
