We are in the golden age of men's middle distance running in the NCAA. In fact, when you look at the all-time rankings for the outdoor 800 meters, you'll find that the top five times in NCAA history have all been run within the past four years.
Names such as Michael Saruni, Donovan Brazier, Emmanuel Korir, Bryce Hoppel and Brandon McBride are just a few of the men who have electrified middle distance fans. That doesn't even include other elite competitors such as Clayton Murphy, Isaiah Harris and Devin Dixon, who have captured headlines of their own over the past several years.
