We looked at the three-year progress of the nation's top pole vaulters. The lists are ranked by junior year PR's, but many athletes showed vast improvements from their freshman year in 2017 to their junior year in 2019.

The top female pole vaulter for the class of 2020 is Greenville's (OH) Riley Hunt. Hunt vaulted 13 feet 7 inches during the 2019 outdoor season to garner the top spot on the class of 2020 rankings list. As a freshman, Hunt vaulted a PR of 10-0. She improved almost three feet from freshman year to sophomore year and another seven inches from sophomore year to junior year. Hunt will be attending the University of Arkansas this fall. 

In the boy rankings, Butler's (OH) Dalton Shepler held the top mark for the class of 2020 with a 16-6 inch mark from the OHSAA State Track and Field Championship last spring.
