It's safe to say that this academic calendar year has been far from normal.

A global pandemic forcing the world to come to a halt isn't something that anyone expected. And of course, when it came to performances on the track, not much went according to plan either ... but that wasn't necessarily all bad.

When we take a look at this year's group of boys distance runners from a holistic point of view, you could make the argument that this has been one of the best recruiting classes in recent memory, maybe more so than the legendary Class of 2017.

That 2017 group included superstar talents such as Cameron Cooper (1:47 800m), Reed Brown (3:59 mile) and Cooper Teare (8:41 3,200m, 14:13 5K) and Casey Clinger (2-time NXN winner, 4:02 mile) to name a few. Others, such as DJ Principe, Sam Worley and Brandon McGorty snagged plenty of headlines of their own during that illustrious year, too.
