Last month, Duke University officially announced that Norm Ogilvie, the Director of Track and Field for the Blue Devils, was retiring after 30 seasons of coaching.

Associate head coach Shawn Wilson has been named as Duke's interim head coach for the track and field team while assistant coach Rhonda Riley has been named the interim head coach for Duke's cross country programs.

The news, while seemingly unexciting, is an interesting development which could create a massive --and unexpected -- ripple effects around the country as far as coaches are concerned. 

Just like we've seen in years past.
