Champs Erie McDowell

But form held in the Discus, as Coatesville junior Tayvon Gray won with a throw of 136-03 in the Discus.

How about that! Two sophomores go one-two in the Triple Jump. Altoona's Rachel Gehret win with a jump of 39-03, while Erin Hannon, Bradford, challenges with a 38-08.50 effort. Next two pix.



Lindsay Regan, Easton, sets the PIAA AAA record of 12-3, clearing 13' for the win.

Courtney Regan was 2nd, clearing 11-06.

Penn Hills' Sha Tira-Snell wins the 100 Hurdles in 14.30. Brianna Broyles, William Allen, 2nd in 14.71 (not pictured), Felicia Daniels, McCaskey, 3rd in 14.71, and Nicole Smith,McDowell, 4th in 14.89.

Jannea Bridgeford, Upper Darby, winning one of two individual golds, this in the 100 in 11.83. Catie Hare of South Western is 2nd in 12.08, while Janessa Murphy, Great Valley, is 3rd in 12.19.

Chanel Williams, Plymouth-Whitemarsh, 300 Hurdles champ in 43.73.

Schenley's Brown did win the 400 in 56.26.

The 800 was a fight to the finish, as freshman Liz Kearins of Central Bucks West (2:12.98) held off the furious charge of three seniors, Melissa Ferry of Henderson (2:13.59), Fiana York, Haverford (2:14.54), and Jen Gray, Cumberland Valley (Eagles), 2:14.60.

Frances Koons, Allentown Central Catholic, was content to follow Council Rock senior Jessica Cickay the first two laps. Cickay would finish 6th in 5:01.66. Perkiomen Valley sophomore Kristin Reed would get 2nd in 4:57.15, while Slippery Rock's Erin Cranmer-Hart gets 3rd in 4:59.95.

Lauretta Dezubay, a Freedom junior, takes the 3200 in 10:34.13, over fellow junior Katie Thaeder of Unionville, 2nd in 10:38.51. AA XC champ Adriene Beltze of Hamburg set much of the pace, and would get 3rd in 10:45.33.

Penn Hills wins the 4x100 over Upper Darby, 47.81 to 48.42.

Three shots of the 4x400, the winning Conestoga team before the start, followed by the final two legs awaiting the hand-off.





After four years of getting close to a 4x800 championship, senior Fiana York of Haverford left nothing to chance, charging to a 30 meter lead in a 2:11.2 split.

Junior Julia Somers kept Haverford in contact with the lead pack on the 2nd leg, which gave York her opportunity to put the race away.
