The day before announcing
her commitment to the Wolfpack, the New Yorker ran 13:45.90 over 4,000 meters to finished second in the Eastern States race at the Manhattan High School Invitational.
The senior and her Hornets team is looking to return to Nike Cross Nationals after placing
fifth individually -- and fourth as a team -- in 2018, with a PR of 17:13.30. With F-M, she has two national team championships on her resume.
The New York
distance runner opened up last outdoor season with 6:57.03 in the 2K steeplechase, which is currently US No. 12. She was also top 15 in the nation at 1,500m with
a 4:33.50, which was good for third place at the NYSPHSAA State Champs.
