2019 MileSplit50 Individual Girls XC Rankings Countdown

No. 8 Brooke Rauber

Team: Tully (NY)

Year: 2021

Notable Finishes: 6th at NXN; 4th at NXR New York; 1st at NYSPHSAA Cross Country Class D Championships; 2nd at Manhattan Invitational Eastern Championships; 1st at Tully Invitational

Analysis: Rauber had yet another incredible season, picking up her second straight 6th-place finish at Nike Cross Nationals. It followed a fourth-place finish at NXR New York and a second straight Class D title in New York, plus an impressive runner-up placement at the Manhattan Invitational's Eastern Championships race. Last year was simply a step up for Rauber, who raced consistently throughout and picked up a personal record of 17:19.20 for 5K.

The uber-versatile runner did one better in the track season, too, hitting 2:13.13 on the clock for 800m, 4:34.42 for 1,500m, 9:34.21 for 3,000 -- to win at the Penn Relays -- and 6:41.95 for the 2K steeple, where she went on to finish second at New Balance Nationals Outdoor. Watch out for Rauber yet again in 2019.
