Ramiah Elliott, 15, of the Indiana Storm Track Club (IN), will compete in her second AAU Junior Olympics this summer in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Elliott is a two-time participant of the AAU Junior Olympics and is aiming for a third consecutive title in the 400m. Despite being just a freshman, Elliott had a very good year, winning four state championships in Indiana before racing at the USA Track and Field U20 Outdoor Championships in June, where she was fourth in the 200m (23.27) and 11th in the 400m (55.24). She's even displayed speed on the shorter end in the 100m, with her time of 11.86 seconds finishing as US No. 17 effort among all freshmen. The plan at the moment is for Elliott to race all three events at the Junior Olympics, according to Indiana Storm head coach Michael Vinson. With plenty of her accolades to her name, Elliott will be a major player at this year's AAU Junior Olympics.

Breakdown: Fresh off a stellar freshman campaign at North Central High School, Elliott is at the top of her game. She won both the 200m (23.67) and 400m (53.30) at the Indiana High School Athletics Association state meet, which was sandwiched between her legs on the first-place 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams. Elliott is clearly in the elite tier of sprinters in the nation and has shown her range, coming in at US No. 11 in the 200m and US No. 13 in the 400m. She's locked in heading into the AAU Junior Olympics, evident in her sweep of the sprints at the AAU Region 13 National Qualifier at the end of June (11.86/24.20/54.56). She's training twice a week at the moment to keep the legs fresh and will have ran in only two meets in the weeks leading up to the AAU Junior Olympics. The podium is the most likely landing spot for Elliott in the 200m and 400m as she's in the top three of her age group in terms of fastest times. The 200m is where Elliott will have a real shot at winning, considering there's just a .19 second difference between herself and the No. 1 freshman (North Carolina's Kayla Davis) in the nation. Look out for Elliott as she aims to end her freshman season on a high note.
