Although Long Beach Poly (CA) has the boys 4x800m national record time of 7:28.75, over the past decade teams from the Northeast have dominated the 4x800m relay. This is based on teams showing up multiple times in the rankings over the past decade.
New York is one of those states that has run well in the 4x800m with 18 of the top 100 teams coming from The Empire State. Another 12 teams have come from New York's neighbor New Jersey.
